“Dreams Take Flight is an organization that arranges trip to Disney World for children who need a boost in their life. Over the span of about 48 hours, kids and chaperones fly out of Halifax, visit Orlando, and come back home. “

“This is our season launch event... where we announce the whole year's line up of shows for the 2019-2020 season. Public, sponsors and media. The place is packed. Last year we had a Dr. Who themed opening, this year I though we could step it up a bit and have the top secret plans delivered to me onstage by Darth Vader and guarded by his Stormtroopers. I am known in the theatre circle for being a bit of a sci-fi fan, so just trying to have fun with this event each year. A brief but fun appearance off the top of the event.”

"We, That Fun Place Inc, are hosting our Annual March Break FunZone at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel from March 15th to 18th. During this event we have face painting, inflatables, games, carnival food and more. Its a fun event for the local children."

"Fog City Comic Con (“The Con”) is a free, all-ages, community-led event hosted by the Saint John Free Public Library. The Con is being held over two days this year: Saturday May 4 (1pm-4pm) & Sunday May 5 (10am-4pm). Our mission is to celebrate comic books and pop culture by connecting fans through workshops, discussion panels, and interactions with local vendors and artists. The Con is open to all aspects of nerd/geek culture, including but not limited to cosplay, gaming, anime, and fandoms. We are dedicated to encouraging a love of comics and popular culture with a fun, free and accessible event that is welcoming to all members of our community."

“The Halifax Central Library Mini-Con is a multi-program event that takes place over 7 hours, free to the public and featuring multiple programs from 9AM-5PM. It happens annually every May. We are hoping for the Halifax chapter of the 501st to return to run another Blast-a-trooper event in our largest program space, Paul O'Regan Hall.”
