"Fog City Comic Con (“The Con”) is a free, all-ages, community-led event hosted by the Saint John Free Public Library. The Con is being held over two days this year: Saturday May 4 (1pm-4pm) & Sunday May 5 (10am-4pm). Our mission is to celebrate comic books and pop culture by connecting fans through workshops, discussion panels, and interactions with local vendors and artists. The Con is open to all aspects of nerd/geek culture, including but not limited to cosplay, gaming, anime, and fandoms. We are dedicated to encouraging a love of comics and popular culture with a fun, free and accessible event that is welcoming to all members of our community."

“The Halifax Central Library Mini-Con is a multi-program event that takes place over 7 hours, free to the public and featuring multiple programs from 9AM-5PM. It happens annually every May. We are hoping for the Halifax chapter of the 501st to return to run another Blast-a-trooper event in our largest program space, Paul O'Regan Hall.”

"East Coast Comic Expo is an all-ages convention organized by dedicated Fanboys and Fangirls to celebrate comic books and comic book culture. We’ll have industry professional writers & artists joining us to celebrate, along with local vendors and many talented local creators and artisans as well."

“We are in the beginning stages of planning our 2019 pledge based walk which focuses on family & fun for all ages. It will include a pancake breakfast, McCafe treats, bouncy castles, face painting & tattoos, balloons & bubbles, teddy bear giveaways, enroute entertainment during the walk, refreshment stand and much more.”

“The Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF and help raise funds for type 1 diabetes research! The event draws people of all ages from across Nova Scotia for a community event that celebrates and supports those who live with type 1 diabetes, and raises funds for research.”

"Canada Day Parade in North Rustico is the biggest Canada Day parade on the Island. It's a short course taking about 25 minutes but don't judge its power and excitement by that. North Rustico does Canada Day right!"

"Air Show Atlantic is an annual event that moves the Air Show around the Atlantic Provinces from year to year. Combining military and civilian aircraft, the Air Show is a spectacle for aviation enthusiasts and those who are just curious about flying and aerial acrobatics. There will be a static display of aircraft as well as aerial demonstrations. This years headliners are the US Navy F-18 Demonstration Team, The Blue Angels. They will be joined by the RCAF F-18 Demonstration Team and the Canadian Forces Parachute Team, The Skyhawks."
